Mangalacharan (Vishnu Vandana) Mangalacharan commences with an invocation to Lord Jagannath followed by a salutation to the Mother Earth, a Shloka Vandana, and the Trikhandi Pranam. In this prayer, Shantakaram Bhujagashayanam, the dancer bows to Lord Vishnu, the supreme being and the master of the universe, who is ever peaceful and supports the entire universe. He is the husband of Goddess Lakshmi, and the destroyer of fear.
