“Adimudong” – remembering the past
Rooted in the rhythms of Northern Uganda, Adimudong is a soulful offering from the Mubaku Sounds of the River Nile — a project celebrating the vibrant musical traditions along the River Nile. It means 'remembering the past'. This song is a traditional song for the Alur tribe from Uganda. This evocative track brings together indigenous instruments, ancestral melodies, and contemporary arrangements to tell stories of land, identity, and resilience.
Curated by Orom Julius, the project features a collective of Ugandan artists whose voices and sounds reflect the pulse of their communities. Adimudong is more than a song — it's a bridge between generations, a cultural echo flowing with the Nile.
